This two-seater sports car with a V8 mid-engine was manufactured in Maranello from 1994 to 1999. The numerical sequence of the model designation is derived from the 3.5-litre displacement and the technology of five valves per cylinder. In its development, the Italian manufacturer began to transfer extensive technological knowledge from Formula 1 into series production. This included electronic fuel injection, a flat underbody, and an electronically controlled chassis. The latter could be adjusted from the cockpit in Normal and Sport modes, with the Sport mode noticeably stiffening the damping. The version shown here is equipped with the classic Manual gearbox equipped.

Another key feature of the vehicle was its sophisticated aerodynamics, developed in collaboration with Pininfarina. Precise flow studies led to a completely panelled underbody and optimised airflow around the passenger cell. The miniature model authentically reproduces these technical and visual details, documenting the aerodynamic styling in combination with the classic red body and a faithfully recreated black interior.
