BBR Pagani Utopia Roadster Open Roof – St. Tropez Orange | 1:18
At Monterey Car Week in August 2024, Pagani unveiled the Utopia Roadster. This vehicle continues the technical legacy of the coupé while incorporating new, distinctive design elements. The original vehicle features a special hardtop, offering flexibility between an open-air and closed driving experience – this model is presented in painstaking detail in its open-roof configuration.
The Utopia Roadster is the first road-legal vehicle to feature innovative systems such as the Pirelli Cyber Tyre, which enables direct communication between the tyres and the vehicle's electronics. Production of the original is limited to 130 units, with each vehicle being unique through an extensive customisation programme.
As the third main project from the San Cesario sul Panaro factory, following the Zonda and the Huayra, the Utopia is the result of a six-year development phase. Its design inspiration stems from the historic Italian motorsport era of the 1950s and 1960s. Compared to the Zonda, the Utopia eschews sharp lines and opts for a fluid design language. Unlike the Huayra, it does without complex, active aerodynamic elements at the rear. Instead, the Utopia utilises air routing that is fully integrated into the body design. This construction method allowed for a 20 percent reduction in body components, while further optimising the vehicle's aerodynamic profile.
