BBR Porsche 917 1000 km Zeltweg 1969 | 1:18
The 1000 km of Zeltweg was a historically significant endurance race in Styria, which, from its second running, became a regular fixture of the World Sportscar Championship. Originally conceived as Austrian Grand Prix The first running of the event, which was established in 1965, covered a distance of 200 miles. It was held on a temporary airfield circuit at the Hinterstoisser airbase in Zeltweg, which had hosted Formula 1 the previous year.
After the race distance was extended to 500 kilometres between 1966 and 1968, the event finally established itself in 1969 as a demanding 1000-kilometre race. This precisely crafted model of the Porsche 917 accurately documents this milestone in motorsport history. With its true-to-detail execution and high quality of workmanship, it is aimed at discerning collectors who value technical authenticity and historical accuracy.
