This power unit is another highlight of the CMC engine series on a scale of 1:18. Protected by an elegant and dust-proof acrylic glass cover, this small work of art is a real eye-catcher.

The eight-cylinder in-line engine is a power unit as found in the CMC models Bugatti 57 SC Atlantic Coupé and the Bugatti 57 SC Corsica Roadster and Corsica Sport. A modern, no-frills basic concept, even back then, is typical of Bugatti engine construction. These characteristics were also consistently realised in this engine type. A Roots Supercharger helped the three-litre engine to achieve a remarkable output of around 200 PS. For the time, this was a performance range that gave the driver the necessary confidence to react confidently to all driving situations. The beautiful engine, assembled by hand with filigree parts, is an excellent addition to any CMC model car collection.
