Description of the original vehicle:

Unique and in a class of its own. The grandiose winner of Le Mans in 1961. When the name „Ferrari“ is mentioned, the eyes of automobile enthusiasts light up. The Berlinettas in particular remain legendary to this day. From the mid-1950s to the early 1960s, the 250 GT dominated the large GT class, first with a long wheelbase and from 1959 until production was discontinued in 1962 with a short wheelbase - passo corto or SWB for „short wheel base“. A famous representative of the „Competizione“ racing version is the silver-grey Berlinetta with chassis number 2689. Completed on 30 May 1961, the racing GT with its eye-catching blue Gordini-French racing stripes took part in the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans just eleven days later with starting number 14. The driver team of Jean Guichet / Pierre Noblet not only recorded a magnificent victory in the GT class, but also achieved a sensational third place in the overall classification of all participating vehicles.
