Description of the original vehicle:

Chassis no. 0714 is the second vehicle of this type to be delivered to a private customer. Piero Drogo from Venezuela took delivery of the Testa Rossa in Modena/Italy at the beginning of December 1957 with the aim of using it successfully in as many racing events as possible. As a first step, he had an air intake scoop fitted to the bodywork below the doors to improve cooling of the rear brake drums. Half a century has now passed since its first race in Buenos Aires/Argentina in January 1958. During this time, the „red head“ has been seen at countless races and representative events, so that today we can justifiably speak of the most popular and successful Ferrari of all time, which is unlikely to be topped.
Perfectly restored, with deep black paintwork and a striking red and white „banderole“ on the nose, this dream car with the starting number DM124 was sold to a new owner at an auction organised in Maranello/Italy in May 2009 under the motto „Leggenda e Passione“ for a previously unimaginable top price of 9.02 million euros. Is there any better proof that the fascination with the car remains unbroken to this day?
