Description
CMC Ferrari D50, 1956 GP France #14 Collins Limited edition 1,500 units
After Lancia had handed over its D50 project to Enzo Ferrari and the Scuderia was intensively involved in the further development of this Grand Prix racer, the course was set for a successful 1956 racing season. In France, Peter Collins won his second Grand Prix by a wafer-thin margin ahead of Eugenio Castellotti and Jean Behra. The Ferrari D50 was also the superior car here in Reims. The Vanwall showed its potential, but retired late in the race with technical problems.
