Description
CMC Jaguar C Type,1953, 24h France WINNER #18 , Tony Rolt / Duncan Hamilton, ( British Racing Green )
After a surprisingly clear victory of the C-Type in 1951 and a disastrous failure of the team a year later, the extensive preparations for Le Mans 1953 were meticulously carried out. Jaguar Cars Ltd. sent a total of four vehicles to France. The reward for the work invested: game, set and match. On 14 June 1953 at 16:00, the Jaguar boys crossed the finish line - all the C-Types entered crossed the finish line, and first, second, fourth and ninth place was theirs.
