The Talbot Lago Coupé fulfils a long-cherished dream of the CMC management. In the early years of CMC, this sophisticated type of car was „still a size too big“ to fulfil the high model requirements of this classic car of the century. From today's perspective, after more than 20 years of classic car modelling experience, we were now ready to recreate this dream car with a „teardrop“ bodywork by the French sheet metal virtuosos Figoni & Falaschi that is unsurpassed in elegance and unrivalled aesthetics as a top-class high-end model.

• Hand-assembled metal precision model made from 1,488 individual parts
• Authentic and true-to-scale moulded „teardrop“ bodywork by French coachbuilders Figoni & Falaschi
• Precisely designed vehicle frame as a metal construction
• Opening bonnet with perforated ventilation louvres. Support bar holds bonnet in open position
• Prototypical representation of the striking front end of the vehicle with headlights set into the bodywork and a stainless steel grille cover. Perfectly designed radiator grille made of metal
• Functional metal sunroof with easy operation
• Elaborate, side body trim panels manufactured in metal
• Form-fit cover for the rear wheels with crescent-shaped metal pads
• Movable driver and passenger doors
• Highly detailed 6-cylinder in-line engine with all add-on units and pipework/cabling
• Perfect spoked wheels and screw-on double-leaf centre locks
• Opening boot lid. Two-sided support rods hold the bonnet in the open position. Removable spare wheel
• Leather-covered bench seat with folding and also leather-covered backrest
• Finely crafted dashboard with all display instruments and control switches

HISTORY (ORIGINAL VEHICLE) When CMC decided to recreate the Talbot Lago Coupé with its Figoni & Falaschi „Teardrop“ bodywork as a model, the pulse of our modellers quickened and the joy of being able to recreate such a work of art was immense. At the same time, however, there was also the challenge and obligation to fulfil this demanding project. Many experts around the world agree that this vehicle can no longer be judged by the standards normally applied to automobiles. The Talbot Lago, with its body crafted by the famous French sheet metal cutters Figoni & Falaschi, looks like something from another planet. The car is simply what you would call „state of the art“ today.
