Description
CMC Ferrari 275 GTB/C, 24h France 1966, Biscaldi/de Bourbon-Parme, #26, one of one weathered by Klaus Exner
The art of ageing: Klaus Exner's Ferrari 275 GTB
Klaus Exner is known far beyond the borders of the modelling scene for his outstanding ability to masterfully „age“ models. His works perfectly capture not only the shape, but also the patina and signs of use of the real-life model. Each piece tells a story of hard use and past races.
This particular piece is an impressive Ferrari 275 GTB, which Exner has designed in the unmistakable style of a retired racing car - as if it had just come from the finish line. The detailed finish includes realistic dirt, oil stains, abrasion on the edges and the typical weathering of an endurance racer after a gruelling race. In this way, Exner skilfully simulates the intensive wear and tear and the marks that such a vehicle has suffered in tough competition.
The model, which has been aged in great detail, is handed over to the buyer in its original box to ensure collector's value and protection. However, it should be noted that the diorama shown or possibly shown in a presentation (such as a race track scene or pit lane) is expressly not part of the scope of delivery. Only the masterfully finished model vehicle itself is purchased.
Klaus Exner is known for his aged models. He has worked on this Ferrari 275 GTB in the style of a racing car after the end of the race. The model is supplied in the original box. The diorama is not included.
