Value comparison CMC collector models
CMC models are very popular. The great wealth of detail and the prototypical materials make them a chronograph for the desk. These models are particularly stable in value, some even enjoy a considerable increase in value.
This makes it all the more interesting to find out the value of my model or my collection. This prompted us to create a value comparison list. The actual sales prices from various online auction platforms were used for this. In other words, not the asking prices, but the values that were actually sold for. Around 3000 sales were analysed. Each price was scrutinised and assessed. Only sales of flawless models with packaging, i.e. „mint and boxed“, in our case condition grade 2-new for the model and condition grade 3-used for the packaging, were included in the evaluation.
CMC models were an excellent investment last year! On average, the value of the models increased by 12%! However, there were not only winners, but also losers. The biggest loss was 42%. The biggest gain was 142%! That's two and a half times the starting value!
The price index has 22 pages. Approximately 230 models are evaluated. The average sales prices and the annual average were calculated for each quarter. The quarterly figures show the development in value.
