The Corsica, in its unpainted finish, exhibits an impressive aura.
\nThe common saying in folk language is often \u201ethe paint is off\u201c, and this is used to express that what's underneath isn't always in the best condition.
\nCMC need not worry in this regard. Everything that emerges on the Corsica is honest, traditional craftsmanship. CMC's components are made from solid materials. In addition to the base material as a zinc die-cast alloy, CMC processes non-ferrous metals such as copper and brass, or stainless steel in the form of bonnets, floor pans, covers, decorative strips and other parts. Furthermore, on the aforementioned model, you will find real leather (seats, door panel trim), high-quality rubber (tyres), aluminium and stainless steel wire (rims\/spokes) as well as textiles for floor coverings.
\nNaturally, it's not entirely without plastics at CMC either, which are processed to a limited extent in high quality, primarily for powertrain components.<\/div>\n

    Description of the original vehicle: Colonel Godfrey Giles, an Englishman, acquired a Bugatti 57 S chassis in 1937 in order to have a roadster bodied on it. His brother, Eric Giles, took over the design development of the body and the English coachbuilder Corsica produced the bodywork according to these plans. The result was a roadster of beguiling beauty, which was registered with the licence plate GU7 in 1938.
    \nDue to later engine problems, a compressor was retrofitted together with modified pistons as a remedy. This resulted in the new type designation 57 SC (C = Compresseur).
    \nIn 1985, the vehicle came into the possession of the well-known classic car collector John Mozart from California. At the end of 1995, John Mozart had the vehicle completely restored. The result was a beautifully restored roadster in dark blue in Mozart's collection, which won the coveted title of \u201eBest of Show\u201c at the Pebble Beach Concours in 1998.<\/div>\n
