Its first British owner, Colonel Godfrey Giles, put it into operation in 1938. Today, the roadster is owned by car collector John Mozart in California.<\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Hand-assembled metal precision model made from approx. 1780 parts<\/li>\n<li>High-quality paint finish with a brilliant gloss<\/li>\n<li>Authentic and true-to-scale moulded body of the current vehicle (John Mozart) with elegant lines<\/li>\n<li>Prototypical representation of the striking vehicle front section with the aesthetically integrated headlights<\/li>\n<li>Perfect spoked wheels and screw-on double-leaf centre locks with right\/left-hand thread for removing the wheels<\/li>\n<li>Finely crafted dashboard with all display instruments and control switches<\/li>\n<li>Highly detailed 8-cylinder in-line engine with all add-on units and complete pipework \/ cabling<\/li>\n<li>Elaborate floor assembly with representation of the stainless steel exhaust system<\/li>\n<li>Precisely designed vehicle frame as a metal construction<\/li>\n<li>Double-wing bonnet can be opened with storage option on specially designed metal pins<\/li>\n<li>Movable driver and passenger doors hinged on finely modelled hinges<\/li>\n<li>The lockable boot contains a jack, air pump, grease gun, parts boxes and tool set as miniatures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h4>Description of the original vehicle:<\/h4>\n<div>Colonel Godfrey Giles, an Englishman, acquired a Bugatti 57 S chassis in 1937 in order to have a roadster bodied on it. His brother, Eric Giles, took over the design development of the body and the English coachbuilder Corsica produced the bodywork according to these plans. The result was a roadster of beguiling beauty, which was registered with the licence plate GU7 in 1938.<br \/>\nDue to later engine problems, a compressor was retrofitted together with modified pistons as a remedy. This resulted in the new type designation 57 SC (C = Compresseur).<br \/>\nIn 1985, the vehicle came into the possession of the well-known classic car collector John Mozart from California. At the end of 1995, John Mozart had the vehicle completely restored.
