The 250 GT Berlinetta with a shortened wheelbase, which soon became known worldwide by the English abbreviation SWB (Short Wheel Base), quickly developed into a dominant vehicle in long-distance races. It was used with great success by both works drivers and ambitious private customers.<\/p>\n<p>The vehicle represents the consistent further development of the 250 GT Berlinetta Tour de France. The wheelbase was reduced from 2,600 to 2,400 millimetres. The Italian suffix <strong>Short step<\/strong> This is due to the precise distinction of these cars, which were primarily developed for demanding motorsport.
