Chassis number 9015 was the second vehicle of this series. The car was powered by a 3.3-litre V12 engine with twin overhead camshafts. At the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans, it competed with car number 26, but had to retire in the 20th hour of the race due to a gearbox failure. In September 1966, chassis number 9015 participated in the „Road America 500“ race and finished 12th overall, driven by Robert Grossman and Denise McCluggage.

Although the 275 GTB/C has much in common with the standard 275 GTB, a two-seater Gran Turismo Berlinetta, it was extensively revised by Mauro Forghieri. For instance, chassis number 9015 was mounted on a special, super-light aluminium and steel version of the 275 GTB chassis, and almost all body panels had to be re-formed by Scaglietti: compared to a standard 275 GTB, the GTB/C is wider at the front and rear. Furthermore, the body panels were now joined with rivets, allowing damaged elements to be more easily replaced in the event of an accident.

The 275 GTB/C was clad in thin aluminium, half the thickness of that used on the 275 GTB. Even leaning on a 275 GTB/C could damage its bodywork. The entire rear section was reinforced with fibreglass to prevent flex. Many of the 275 GTB/C's engine parts were cast from the magnesium alloy Electron for weight saving. In race trim, the chassis weighs less than 1066 kg.

The 275 GTB/C was the last Ferrari competition version developed for the GT class, and it featured Borrani wire wheels. Furthermore, due to a spelling mistake, the Ferrari 275 GTB/C was only homologated by the FIA for a three-carburettor engine, which threatened to lead to insufficient performance. To compensate for the loss of power, three Weber 40DF13 twin carburettors were specifically fitted to the 275 GTB/C.

CMC had the rare opportunity to document chassis number 9015 in its original condition. 9015 was built by the racing department in Maranello and used in tough racing conditions. The model of the vehicle with chassis number 9015 is being offered in a limited edition, in the exact configuration that the Ed Hugus team entered in Le Mans in 1966, with number 26 and drivers Biscaldi and de Bourbon-Parme on board.

Article number: M-199

[537
953,18,63,20,21
160,161,162,163
post-6773","product","type-product","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","product_brand-cmc","product_cat-1-archiv","product_cat-cmc","product_cat-ferrari","product_cat-titel","product_cat-verfuegbar","product_tag-cmc-ferrari-275-gtb-c","product_tag-lemans","product_tag-m-199","product_tag-verde-pino-metallic","pa_automarke-ferrari","pa_decade-1960s","pa_fahrzeugtyp-coupe","pa_farbe-blau","pa_limitiert-ja","pa_massstab-1-18","pa_modelmarke-cmc","pa_modeltyp-alles-zum-oeffnen","pa_modeltyp-fertigmodell","pa_verfuegbarkeit-5-tage-lieferzeit","pa_zustand_modell-1-brandneu","pa_zustand_verpackung-1-brandneu","first","instock","purchasable","product-type-simple
["GET
