The open-top version was presented to the public at the 1972 Geneva Motor Show. The success of this vehicle is evident from its production figures: out of the approximately 4,000 units of the 246 series produced, 1,200 were delivered as Spiders.<\/p>\n<p>Compared to its direct predecessor, the 206 GT, the Dino 246 brought far-reaching technical modifications. One of the most significant changes concerned the engine block, which dispensed with aluminium and instead relied entirely on robust cast iron.<\/p>\n<p>A characteristic feature of the GTS variant is the removable roof and the distinctive Daytona-style seats.
