The model designation 355 is derived directly from the engine technology and refers to a 3.5-litre displacement and five valves per cylinder.<\/p>\n<p>During the development of the vehicle, Ferrari deliberately transferred technological knowledge gained from Formula 1 into series production. This includes, among other things, electronic fuel injection, a flat underbody, a sequential gearbox and an electronically controlled suspension. The latter can be directly adjusted from the cockpit to the Normal and Sport driving modes.
