The reigning world champions Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi delivered a remarkable driving performance under difficult conditions. An incident occurred in the early hours of the race when Pier Guidi lost control and, with the <strong>Proton Competition<\/strong> Vehicle number 9 collided, resulting in a drive-through penalty.<\/p>\n<p>Although the vehicle's structure and mechanics remained intact and the prototype ran absolutely reliably throughout the night, the time penalty and a slight deficit in race pace prevented a direct fight for the top podium places. Nevertheless, the drivers accelerated the race car to a documented top speed of <strong>351.8 km\/h<\/strong>. Through highly efficient pit stop strategies, the team continuously fought its way back through the field over the course of the race.
