La voiture, portant le num\u00e9ro de ch\u00e2ssis 5893, \u00e9tait utilis\u00e9e par l'\u00e9quipe North American Racing Team (N.A.R.T.) du l\u00e9gendaire Luigi Chinetti. Lors de la course de juin 1965, elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 conduite de mani\u00e8re sensationnelle vers la victoire par l'Autrichien Jochen Rindt et l'Am\u00e9ricain Masten Gregory. Ce triomphe \u00e9tait inattendu, car la 250 LM \u00e9tait un mod\u00e8le plus ancien et a surpass\u00e9 les prototypes d'usine plus puissants de Ferrari et Ford. La course a \u00e9t\u00e9 dramatique, car la voiture, tr\u00e8s sollicit\u00e9e, n'est tomb\u00e9e en panne de bo\u00eete de vitesses que dans le tour final, apr\u00e8s avoir franchi la ligne d'arriv\u00e9e. Historiquement correct, ce mod\u00e8le poss\u00e8de la configuration de conduite \u00e0 droite (RHD) et la carrosserie a\u00e9rodynamique Longnose de la sp\u00e9cification d'origine de la voiture. Aujourd'hui, la voiture victorieuse, ch\u00e2ssis 5893, est expos\u00e9e au mus\u00e9e de l'Indianapolis Motor Speedway.<\/p><ul><li>Configuration du v\u00e9hicule : le mod\u00e8le est \u00e0 conduite \u00e0 droite (RHD), ce qui correspond aux sp\u00e9cifications d'origine du v\u00e9hicule N.A.R.T.
