Le nouveau mod\u00e8le a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 au public lors du Salon de l'automobile de Gen\u00e8ve en 1972 et a \u00e9t\u00e9 accueilli avec un grand succ\u00e8s. Le succ\u00e8s commercial se refl\u00e8te clairement dans les chiffres de production : sur un total d'environ 4 000 exemplaires de la s\u00e9rie 246 qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 fabriqu\u00e9s, 1 200 sont sortis de l'usine en version spider.<\/p>\n<p>Contrairement \u00e0 son pr\u00e9d\u00e9cesseur, le mod\u00e8le 206 GT, la Dino 246 pr\u00e9sentait des modifications techniques profondes, notamment sous le capot. Ainsi, le bloc moteur n'\u00e9tait plus en aluminium, mais enti\u00e8rement en fonte.
