CMC Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR, 1955, motore con vetrina Il motore SLR fu il primo a utilizzare un blocco cilindri in lega di alluminio. Per le canne dei cilindri fu utilizzato alluminio cromato. Una trasmissione centrale a ingranaggi, disposta tra i due blocchi motore a quattro cilindri, fungeva da presa di forza. L'elaborato albero motore Hirth aveva bielle con cuscinetti a rulli. Come tutte le miniature di motori CMC, il modello \u00e8 fedele al modello di riferimento in ogni dettaglio e rappresenta un altro punto di forza di questa serie. Un'elegante copertura in vetro acrilico protegge il modello da sporco e polvere.
