Auf dem Genfer Auto-Salon 1972 wurde das neue Fahrzeug der \u00d6ffentlichkeit pr\u00e4sentiert und stie\u00df auf breite Zustimmung. Der Erfolg spiegelt sich in den Produktionszahlen wider: Von den rund 4.000 gefertigten Exemplaren der Baureihe verlie\u00dfen 1.200 die Werkshallen als Spider.<\/p>\n<p>Gegen\u00fcber dem Vorg\u00e4nger 206 GT gab es weitreichende Modifikationen, insbesondere unter der Motorhaube. Der Motorblock wurde nicht mehr aus Aluminium, sondern vollst\u00e4ndig aus <strong>Gusseisen<\/strong> gefertigt.<\/p>\n<p>Ein wesentliches optisches Merkmal dieses Fahrzeugs ist das abnehmbare Dach sowie die charakteristischen Sitze im <strong>Daytona-Stil<\/strong>, deren aufwendige Verarbeitung im Original aus zahlreichen feinen Lederstreifen besteht.
