Description
Amalgam Ferrari 512 S Spider 1970 Sebring – Red | 1:8
The Ferrari 512 S was developed in 1970 specifically for the 5-litre class of the World Sportscar Championship and fought legendary duels on the racetracks of that era. This 1:8 scale replica accurately depicts the race car with start number 19, which was driven to victory by Mario Andretti and Arturo Merzario in a dramatic finale at the 1970 12 Hours of Sebring.
Limited to just 199 pieces worldwide, the edition is assembled by hand with painstaking care by a small team of specialist craftsmen. Original CAD data and high-precision scans of the real vehicle were used for its construction, supplemented by original paint codes and material specifications directly from Ferrari. The development of this model took over 4,000 hours, while the production of each individual piece requires more than 400 working hours.
The over 58-centimetre-long model features fully functional doors and an opening engine cover that reveals the fine mechanics of the V12 power unit. Thousands of precisely crafted individual parts, including elaborate photo-etched parts, true-to-scale castings and CNC-machined metal components, guarantee absolute historical authenticity and technical precision in the highest segment of model making.
