• Elegant door design: The doors are hung on three hinges and additionally secured at the bottom by a movable guide strut. The seats are upholstered in CMC leather, as are the door panels, which are equipped with functional storage pockets.
• The radiator grille made of metal with the Bugatti emblem is high-gloss and perfectly designed. The number plate corresponds to the original Bugatti registration plate – it is unforgettable among Bugatti connoisseurs.
• The Bugatti spare wheel in the rear recess can be removed. The fuel cap can be opened – just like, incidentally, the cap of the radiator stub.
• The front and side windows of the model car, framed in metal, are authentically reproduced. The windscreen wipers are offset, as on the original. Also like the original Bugatti Atlantic, the rear mudguards are fitted with a stone guard. This has been made from aluminium sheet with a matt-gloss surface.
• The two-part bonnet can be opened on the right and left. The highly detailed Bugatti straight-eight engine is fully wired and features all ancillaries and lines.
• The base plate is also elaborately designed. Gill ventilation is integrated into the metal base plate. The exhaust system of the CMC model car is made of stainless steel. The Bugatti vehicle frame is made of a metal construction.
• The ventilation grilles are made as a fine-mesh metal net. Clearly visible in the image are the metal rosettes on which the wing hoods are placed after opening. The CMC wheels of the Bugatti model are equipped with alloy rims and hand-laced stainless steel wire spokes with nipples.

The constructor and builder of the Atlantic was Ettore Bugatti's son, Jean. With just 26 years of age, he achieved a stroke of genius that made automotive history, as the vehicle presented a design that overshadowed everything previously known and has lost none of its appeal to this day.
Incidentally, the rivet-studded ridge running from the windscreen to the rear end, which makes the vehicle particularly stand out from others, is purely a stylistic element. It is reminiscent of the seam with which the two body halves of the previously built „Aerolithe“ prototype were stitched together.
But it wasn't just the sports car's appearance that caused a stir. The Atlantic coupé was also one of the most powerful cars in the world in its day. The 3.3-litre inline-six engine with two overhead camshafts was fed by a supercharger, giving it a formidable 200 bhp, which accelerated the car to a sensational 200 km/h.
But how did the Atlantic get its name? It is thought that Jean Bugatti named it in memory of the sculptor and aviator Jean Mermoz, whom he admired, who intended to cross the South Atlantic in 1936 and disappeared without a trace.
